Change, adaptation, or what I like to call growth. Change, as they say is inevitable; however, what if what we see as change is actually growth. What if nothing actually changes? What if what we see as adaptability is just growth? There is no actual change of anything, but there is an idea of growing from one’s beliefs. Looking at the ideas or beliefs that you have and understanding the why. I can’t take credit as Rawls was really a catalyst, and if we go further back, well Socrates and Plato. Yes, things do change, that is inevitable, but we do not in our lifetime change who we are. We build on who we are, we question who we are, and make decisions to become either better or worse. Each decision makes us who we are and that is all we have during our span on Earth. So to think we change over time is ridiculous We grow over time. We decide what we think and what we feel. That is our true super power. So, when someone says they will change for you they are lying. They need to grow for you. Want to be the better person for you. That doesn’t mean that it’s all rainbows and fucking sunshine. It is what it is. There is so much more to being a human that we negate by sitting behind computers and phones(Guilty as charged). We need to look inside and figure out what we actually are to ourselves, before we start judging others. Stop letting people tell you how and what to think.
