I promised myself I wasn’t going to go off on what’s going on in today’s landscape, yet here I am. I went to go to bed and my thoughts were like, “What the fuck?” Where are we? Who are we? We are lying in bed and lying to ourselves if we say we are human. As we watch, what can only be as the downfall of western civilization, I can’t help but imagine a better world. One where we don’t repeat history. One where I don’t see the same fascists coming up in the ranks. Jesus is not behind the wheel. Where we are going, apparently, we don’t need roads. We are lost, we are doomed, and we are fuckled… fucked… although fuckled is likely what I will call all of the current leaders. We were taught at a young age to not bow down to bullies. Well, if you read the news today, apparently other countries did not get the memo. Don’t get me wrong, America has always been the biggest bully, also garnering the biggest people to boot, but come on… are we to believe that you can just throw a tantrum and get your way? according to the highlights of all the major news outlets, the answer is yes. I ask you, is this the legacy we want to leave for the next generation? I thought we were supposed to leave it better for the up and comers. That’s what they sold us, that’s what our parents said, and that’s what’s not happening. We need to stand up, we need a say, and we need to realize we have been complacent in the destruction of what was once considered the greatest nation. Who won the chess/checkers/go fish game today? No-one. Not a single entity won today. Canada… you failed, Mexico you failed…. United States of America you failed in November.
